Minitubs are illegal in QLD so this is how you make it look like factory. You get about 2-3 inches more room in your wheel arch.Sedans or coupes take half as long as utes because in a ute there is an extra floor to cut. There is the tray of the ute and the floor of the body.

First run a cut parallel to the edge of your panel, trying to keep the cut on a flat surface

Cut around the base of the wheel arch and remove. Then recut floor till you get to the rail or whatever size tub you want

Grind off the bump stop and remove

Tack weld old arch in new position, when happy seam weld it.

View from underneath

Weld in a strip of metal from underneath. I use fibreglass bog for extra strength.

Sand and paint. Use blackjack or sound deadner underneath to hide the welded panel.
