MINITUB PICS


Minitubs are illegal in QLD so this is how you make it look like factory. You get about 2-3 inches more room in your wheel arch.Sedans or coupes take half as long as utes because in a ute there is an extra floor to cut. There is the tray of the ute and the floor of the body.

ute/minitubs/001.jpg (45667 bytes) First run a cut parallel to the edge of your panel, trying to keep the cut on a flat surface

ute/minitubs/002.jpg (45667 bytes) Cut around the base of the wheel arch and remove. Then recut floor till you get to the rail or whatever size tub you want

ute/minitubs/006.jpg (45667 bytes) Tack weld old arch in new position, when happy seam weld it.

ute/minitubs/008.jpg (45667 bytes) Weld in a strip of metal from underneath. I use fibreglass bog for extra strength.
