ute/subframe/002.jpg (45667 bytes) you can see all mounting holes for the seat

ute/subframe/floorcut.jpg (45667 bytes) Follow the red line with your jigsaw or air nibbler. Once you have welded the rail in place, hammer the floor back against the rail and weld it. Don't forget to grind off the paint. Paint heats up to quickly and will blow holes in the old steel with your mig.

ute/subframe/003.jpg (45667 bytes) The subframe also makes a good support to weld a plate accross for the roll cage. In QLD subframe connectors are illegal but roll cage supports are ok.

ute/subframe/004.jpg (45667 bytes) Underneath joining the front cross member

ute/subframe/005.jpg (45667 bytes) Rear of underneath showing the handbrake cable going through the rail. Drill a hole big enough on both sides of the rail at the right angle and feed the cable through

ute/subframe/006.jpg (45667 bytes) The rear of the subframe I cut a 'vee' in the rail as the rear member is not square.

ute/subframe/007.jpg (45667 bytes) By making a 'Vee' it wedges in and cannot fall out even if you don't weld it.
